Privacy Policy

Nēvo is a personal meal and macro tracker. You sign in with Apple or Google, and the meals, recipes, and goals you log are stored securely in your account so they stay with you across devices. We collect only what's needed to run the app — no advertising, no third‑party tracking, and we never sell your data.

Your account and your data

Nēvo uses Sign in with Apple or Google to create your account. From your provider we receive a basic account identifier and your email address, used only to sign you in and to keep your data separate from other users. We never receive your Apple or Google password.

The meals, recipes, and goals you log are stored in your account in our secure database (hosted by Supabase) and are protected so that only you can access them. This lets your information stay available when you sign in on another device. You can sign out at any time, and you can ask us to delete your account and all of its data by emailing us.

The shared food database

Nēvo includes a food database that grows over time so you rarely hit a missing ingredient. To make this work, the app sends the following to Nēvo's backend and to the nutrition sources listed below:

• Food searches and barcodes you enter, so we can look up nutrition information and cache it for everyone.
• Foods you choose to submit ("Suggest a food"), which are reviewed before becoming available to other users.

We do not collect your location, contacts, health data from other apps, or any advertising identifiers. Your meals, recipes, and goals are private to your account and are never used for advertising.

Service providers

Your account and your data, and the shared food database, are hosted on Supabase, which provides our secure database and authentication. Sign‑in is handled by Apple and Google. Nutrition lookups are performed against Open Food Facts and the USDA FoodData Central database, which receive only the search term or barcode needed to return a result. Nēvo contains no advertising, no third‑party analytics or tracking SDKs, and we never sell or rent any data.

User‑submitted content

Foods submitted through "Suggest a food" are reviewed before they appear to other users, and any user can report a food for review. Submissions become part of the shared food database. Please submit only accurate nutrition information and no personal or objectionable content.

Children's privacy

Nēvo is not directed to children under 13 and does not knowingly collect personal information from them.

Deleting your data

You can request deletion of your account and all of the data associated with it — your meals, recipes, and goals — at any time by emailing us, and we will permanently remove it. If you would like a food you submitted to the shared database removed, let us know and we will take care of it.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new date.
